Kuhs, Plans to Erect Bungalows for Many Lot Buyers. Much interest is being shown in the new North Side development of the Edward A. Kuhs Realty Company at Lindcrest. on the Bellefon-taine road. The Kuhs Company last week reported sales of a number of lots to investors who will build homes there.

In some cases arrangements have been made for the Kuhs company to also erect the houses. These houses, all of which will be bungalows, will be offered to the public as soon as construction has advanced to a stage permitting inspection. It is believed that the unusually large size of the lots, up-to-date improvements and advanced building lines will establish a county residential community which will enjoy considerable enhancement in value in a short time. Rapid development is predicted for this subdivision and an increasing number of home sites are being sold weekly. An invitation is extended by the Kuhs company to all of their friende to inspect subdivision.

(By I. N. Proposals for a Democratic-Progressive-Republican coalition in the senate tariff fight were dealt a blow today by the declaration of Senator Simmons, North Carolina, ranking Democrat In the finance committee, that "the only coalition can come about through a meeting of minds." There will be no agreement with the Progressives to attack the administration's bill, he declared, although indicating opposition to many schedules which have been assailed by Independent Republicans. The Progressive Republicans have been counting heavily upon Democratic support to break down the tariff bill which will be reported by the senate finance committee when the senate meets August 19. The Democratic fight, as outlined by Simmons, will be based on the claim that the Hawley bill maintains the advantage of the manufacturer over the farmer, and has not given agriculture the parity with industry which was promised in the Republican platform.
