JEFFERSON CITY, Feb. 25 A survey of the inequalities of property assessment! throughout the state, and of the proportion of taxes paid by holders of Intangible property, was ordered by the Senate today. The survey is to be made by the Legislative Research Committee. The order grew out of the study the public school problem which has been under way for nearly a year. The Joint Committee on Education found that many school districts in the state were obtaining a larger proportion of state funds than other districts by a policy of low property assessments on which local school taxes were paid.
